How You First Works – Private Chauffeur Service
In this short article, we explain how our private chauffeur service works, how to book, how costs are calculated, and other useful information.
First of all, it is important to explain what a private chauffeur service is, better known in Italy as NCC (Noleggio Con Conducente).
It is a non-scheduled public transport service designed to take people from one point to another. Unlike a taxi, a chauffeur service is by appointment only: therefore, the ride must be booked in advance.
How do I book a ride?
In our specific case, you can send an email or a WhatsApp message. We will contact you as soon as possible to ask for some information regarding the service: pickup and drop-off locations, date and time of departure, number of people, and number of bags (if any).
Once we have all the information, we prepare an accurate and personalized quote.
How is the cost of the service calculated?
The service is calculated based on mileage and waiting time. For example, if you need to be taken to the airport, we calculate the distance from our garage to the meeting point, your destination, and the return to the garage. We then apply the rate per kilometer (which varies based on the length of the service: the more kilometers you travel, the less you pay per kilometer). To this figure, we apply a night supplement if necessary (valid for rides between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM).
To guarantee you the most affordable price, we optimize every hour of the day, while always leaving a time buffer between rides to handle any unforeseen events and ensure maximum punctuality.
We care deeply about arriving on time for all appointments, so we ask you to be equally punctual.
As with taxis, we also apply a waiting fee in case of delay: the count starts 5 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. The cost is calculated per fraction of a minute based on our hourly rate of €30 per hour.
We apply a minimum service fee of €25.
How far in advance should I book my ride?
A ride can be booked as late as 20 minutes before the meeting, but for your own peace of mind, it is advisable to book in advance to ensure our availability and avoid the risk of being without service.
Delayed flights
Unfortunately, during the summer, flights are often delayed: we won’t leave you stranded! The first half hour of waiting is not charged; after that, the hourly rate mentioned above applies.
Food and drinks on board
We are committed to offering you a high-quality service with clean vehicles, so we ask all our customers not to consume food or drinks inside the vehicle, with the exception of the complimentary water found on board.
Payment method
Our chauffeur service meets all customer needs: you can pay in cash, by credit card, or via bank transfer (for companies with whom we have an established business relationship).
